70. Matchbook Note pad

MATERIALS
    Cardstock (colors of your choice)
    standard paper
    ruler
    scissors or paper trimmer
bone folder (for scoring and folding)
    stapler

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Cut a 2" x 5" strip of cardstock. Score at 2", 2-1/4", and 4-1/2". Fold into a matchbook shape. For the pages, cut 1-3/4" x 2" squares of paper (use a paper trimmer for best results).
  2. Place the stack of papers on the carstock, fold the bottom flap up over the papers and secure with a staple (leaving room for the top flap to tuck in). Decorate the cover as desired.
  3. Put a few matchbook notebooks in a little bag along with some golf pencils for a cute and easy "thinking of you" gift.

    * You can make larger versions of these using the same basic ratio:
    • For a 4" x 10" cover, score at 4", 4-1/2", and 9". Cut pages to 3-1/2" x 4" squares.

[Edit 12/16]—The original project was found at the DubandSam.com website, but is no longer there. Instead, I found a similar project listed over at Design Sponge.
