66. Soda Can Pins

MATERIALS
    Emptied & Cleaned Soda Can
    Can Opener
    Scissors
    brayer (or rolling pin)
Sizzix die cut machine (makes cutting the shapes easier, but if you don't have one, you can use scissors)
    glue stick
1/8" thick craft foam sheet (for backing)
    pin back (or magnet)

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. First get an empty, cleaned soda pop can. And take the top off of it with a can opener.
  2. Once the top is off, cut the pop can down the center.
  3. Now cut the bottom end off the pop can.
  4. You can take a brayer to flaten out the metal of the soda pop can.
  5. Now place the flatten soda can metal down on the plastic board of your sizzix machine. Place your favorite die right on top. (If you don't have a sizzix machine, draw the shape you'd like to cut out, directly on the can & cut with scissors.)
  6. pull down on the handle to die cut the shape out of the soda can.
  7. do the same thing with a foam sheet (the foam needs to be the same size and shape as your soda can design)
  8. take your 2 cut shapes , one soda can shape and one foam shape, and glue them togther.
  9. Once it is dried you can glue a pin back on or a magnet to the back side (the foam side)

[Edit 12/16]—It looks like the PC Crafts website is no longer, but I did find a video over on YouTube that shows how to make these pins.
