Here's a simple project for coffee (or tea) lovers. Using a paper coffee cup sleeve as a template, cut out fabric (cotton or felt) and sew the ends together to make a simple fabric coffee cup sleeve.
If you want to get more sophisticated, there are a number of different patterns and tutorials out there. I found this one at Practically Functional.
DIY FELT COFFEE COZY
You need:
- felt
- elastic (an old hair tie will do just fine)
- buttons
- color-coordinating thread
- fusible interfacing (optional)
- a sewing machine
- scissors
- pins
- a coffee cup sleeve to use as a pattern
- A coffee cup to use as a model
