88. DIY Instagram Projects

It's crazy to think that when I started this blog, Instagram didn't exist—That it wouldn't exist for another 4 years! But here we are in the Instagram era, so how could I not include projects that make use of the ever-expanding photo-app's popularity? Here are some of the more cool Instagram crafts currently out there (imo)...

47. Wallpaper Crafts

WALLPAPER BOOKMARKS

MATERIALS

Wallpaper samples
Laminating pouches + Laminator
hole punch
ribbon
scalloped scissors or pinking shears

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut wallpaper into strips measuring approx. 1 1/2" x 6"
2. place in laminating pouches, laminate
3. trim bookmarks, leaving about 1/4" around sides and bottom, and 1/2" at top
4. punch hole at top and thread with ribbon.

WALLPAPER MAGNETS

MATERIALS

scrap pieces of Wallpaper
pinking shears
adhesive backed magnets

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut wallpaper to desired size and shape
2. adhere to magnets
3. package magnets in sets to give as gifts

WALLPAPER COASTERS

MATERIALS

Wallpaper
Scissors
Lamination pouches + Laminator

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut Wallpaper in 4" x 4" squares. if you like, round the corners off
2. place into lamination pouches and run through the laminator
3. trim lamination, leaving at least a 1/4" border
4. bundle into sets of 4 or 6, tie off with a ribbon or make a paper sleeve.

41. Fabulously Funky Coasters

MATERIALS

Downloadable Art [PDF automatically downloads when you click the link]
Photo paper or sturdy cardstock
Scissors
Craft glue (optional)
Self-laminating sheets or adhesive vinyl (both optional)
Cork (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Go to the File menu and select Print. Load the cardstock into the printer, following the printer's directions. Print the coaster sheet.
2. Cut out the coasters.
3. Glue each coaster to a piece of cork backing using craft glue.
4. Let the coasters dry, then spray each one with a paper protectant.
   
   You can also design your own coasters.
   Print the images in color, trim around the edges, laminate or coat them to protect from spills, and add a cork bottom.
